I have a DVD of a news program that is 31 minutes long, but when I load it into VD, I can only see the first 18 minutes. Unfortunately, I need a three minute clip from the last 10 minutes of the program. The files on the DVD are as follows: 12/31/2005 11:00 AM 12,288 VIDEO_TS.BUP 12/31/2005 11:00 AM 12,288 VIDEO_TS.IFO 12/31/2005 11:00 AM 30,720 VIDEO_TS.VOB 12/31/2005 11:00 AM 32,768 VTS_01_0.BUP 12/31/2005 11:00 AM 32,768 VTS_01_0.IFO 12/31/2005 11:00 AM 1,073,739,776 VTS_01_1.VOB 12/31/2005 11:00 AM 799,698,944 VTS_01_2.VOB The VOB is MPEG-2, and I have the plug-in for that. The video plays fine in VD, but is truncated just short of the 18 minute mark. Is there an input file size limitation or something? Is there some kind of workaround for this? I am also considering the purchase of an MP4 video from C-SPAN which is 2.5 hours long, and I need a clip from that video that is in the last half hour, but I don't want to purchase the video if I can't access the clip I need. Again, is there some limit on file sizes or video duration in VD? Thanks in advance.

Open VTS_01_2.VOB There's no size/length limit in VirtualDub - in this case just DVD-Video layout. You can open whole video with MPEG-2 Plugin: Open - check "Ask for extended options..." - (select VTS_01_1.VOB) - Open multiple VOB files as one virtual file. You can binary join VTS_01_1.VOB and VTS_01_2.VOB on hard disk and open in VirtualDub or other Video Editor/Player.

Never occurred to me that the video was split into two files. Opened the other file -- works great. Thanks so much.
