doom9.org has a fourcc changer. Change it from MP43 to Divx. Or you can use Vdub's hex editor and go in there manually and do that.

hehe,

what other advice could you expect from a real M$ hater .. lol Neo !!

Install Windows Mediaplayer 7 ( but continue to use goold old 6.4 after that, search for mplayer2.exe on your c-drive ) or Windows Mediaencoder. The FourCC code 'mp43' is for M$ MPEG4V3 video, and you dont have this codec installed it seems, its coming with WMP 7.

MSMPEG4v3 is one of the locked versions and is not supposed to exist outside ASF/WMV. Sometimes even installing the MS codecs with WMP does not fix the problem. MSMPEG4v2&3 are Divx3.11. Actually it is the other way around. But you get the gist. Just look at the fourcc in a divx3 or 4 or 5 avi and change the ones in the problem AVI to match. Divx3 or 4 or 5 can and will then play the file with no qualms about it being in an AVI. It has little to do with MS being evil and more to do with a near sure fire way to get someones screwed up encode to work. wink.gif

Do you have Divx 5 installed?

I loaded the Nimo Codec pack, which I think have Divx 5. Should I just install the Divx 5 anyway. Thanks
