Ok, so I've searched through the forum and nobody seems to have had quite as basic a problem as me (at least that I could find). I understand that to rotate my video, I go to Video, filter, add, rotate, choose the orientation, and click OK. I do this... and nothing happens to my video. No error, just... nothing happens. It still plays on its side like it did before. Vista is my operating system. I've tried redownloading it, but that didn't help. Any suggestions?

In VirtualDub the right window is the output preview. It's not even rotated there?

Do you mean when I go to the file menu and preview output from start (preview filtered is also an option)? If so, then no, it still does not show up rotated (under either).

No. In the basic VirtualDub window you see two instances of your video, left and right. The right one should be rotated.

Are you saving the video? (you said it's very very newbie question) GL
