Unofficial VirtualDub Support Forums > Newbie Questions > Videocut = Audiocut

... even if this question has been answered in another post which I can't find ...

After appending some videofiles (.avi-segments) and cutting them I wanted to add an audiofile (.wav). The audiofile is cut at the same positions the videosegments are cut but I want the audiofile to be played straight through without any cut.

phaeron (Virtualdub Developer) writes in another post ("Adding Audio To Video"), that he "could add in an option to disable the scissoring of the audio track."
... unfortunately I can't find this option. sad.gif

So how can I add an audiofile to the videofile with the cut videosegments with the audiofile being played straight through without any cut/scissoring of the audio track ???

PS: There is no way to do a two pass operation (one with no audio, then a second with the audio file attached) because I first have to fit the cutting of the videosegmets to the music of the audiofile.

It's in Video > Select Range.
