| Hi, I have recently bought a new computer and set up everything as i had it before - or so i thought. I wish to re-encode a WAV file as an mp3 - but the bitrate options for mp3 compression in virtualdub only go up to 56k/s Just wondered what i need to do or install to give me all of the options up to 128 and beyond. Thanks Chris |

| youŽll find a codec that works fine, but to compress a wav to mp3 there is a better, faster and easier way: use lame It will offer you much higher quality than the codec you find in the internet for VirtualDub. | The LAME command line encoder is great, but the ACM version of LAME gave me all kinds of problems and I don't recommend using it for movies. |
