| yo, after opening a file i get the boring message : "couldn't locate decompressor for format Dx50(unknown),virtual dub requires a video for windows compatible codec................suitable" . Recently install codec divx 5.03 , need something more or less? thanks |

| Use the 'search' function here ( see on the top ) on the keywords 'decompressor' and 'dx50' ... there were a couple of other threads on this before IIRC ... |

Hi ChristianHJW, sorry about the resurrection but this was the only thread that came up with a search of 'dx50' and the search found nothing when looking for 'dx50 decompressor'. I am having the same problem of course. TMPGenc can not open the file either so I suspect it is a codec problem. Could you direct me to the afformentioned threads? thx |

You obviusly forgot to search in all forums, and to allow posts being displayed being elder than 30 days.
