Curious as to what settings to use for audio compression using AC-3 ACM Codec. Compressing HandyCam videos for use on YouTube.

KBits/s, Hz, Mono, KB/s

TIA

Youtube will recompress the audio again. So preferably you use the highest bitrate you can muster for uploading or, even better, uncompressed or high bitrate LAME MP3.

@caracadon: You can also try using Direct Stream Copy and leave the audio as is as.

So if I upload my uber mega uncompressed vid to YouTube they will do the compression, etc? Cool. Been knocking myself out for nothing... unsure.gif

I'm not sure YouTube support all video/audio formats you have to check.
Also if you upload an uncompressed video it will take a awful amount of time to upload.
