I have problem with DV-avi videos in VD. I can play them with Windows mediaplayer, but I can't work with them in VD. What does this error mean? (see picture...) I have been able to work with DV-avi videos before, but after a new installation of win2000 doesn't it work any more I have installed DV video codecs from Sony, Pinnacle And Panasonic

Try to install only one DV codec - but the right one! I recommend the Panasonic DV codec. The other two DV codecs can hide the required DV codec with VFW interface and VD gets lost... Good luck Stefan

That was it. I deinstalled all of them and just installed the pinnacle (since I have pinnacle Studio 8) one, and it works. Thanks for the tip
