Dear members
I recorded a skype call using Evaer skype recorder. But as the recording was in process the recorder stopped working and crashed so I was not able to stop the active record session. Still I got files of considerable sizes in the destination folder as AVI formats. But when I play them in VLC it says ,"VLC does not support the audio or video format "undf". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this." Also in properties there is no mention of frame rates and other details associated with avi files. Even there is no thumbnail. Evaer used MJPEG for compression. I tried opening it in DIVfix but it doesn't detect it as an AVI file. Is there any way I can play those files or even extract the images from the file. It is around 300mb of data so I suppose that it recorded but still I am not able to play it. It was an important interview and I need it badly. ohmy.gif

when I open it in virtual dub, it says unknown or unsupported file type. but the hex editor shows a lot of coding with letters "junk" quite often.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
Abhi

You'll need to check the documentation for your session recording software for recommended playback tools. The various errors you are getting all simply mean that neither the programs themselves nor Windows have any modules that know how to play the video from your recorded file.
