| Hello, Hopefully someone will be gracious enough to help me out with what I am trying to do. I was recently at a concert and recorded it via my iphone 4. I'm trying to run it through deshaker to make it better. I've followed the instructions to a tee but the results are not good. I converted the original .mov file to .avi using ffmpeg and xvid codec and the results were good so the first step was a success. I then open virtualdub and open the .avi. I go to videos/compression and select the xvid codec and select 720p. Next I go into filters and select deshaker and put in my settings. I have rolling shutter selected. This goes well and I select first pass. Next I click the output play button. I think a separate window is supposed to open up showing me the vectors with the dots and lines as it processes correct? I don't see that. Its only the original which processes a frame at a time (choppy). I have motion vectors selected. I let it run through anyway and do pass 2 as well and the results were terrible. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks for your time. |

| first, use input plugin to open mov files once file is opened, play file from start to finish in pass 1 then select pass 2, and now you should get the results you want motion vectors are displayed in the video during pass 1 there are other threads about this, please look around |

| for pass 1 i select the play button with the I.....could have sworn it said to use the one with the O? |
