Unofficial VirtualDub Support Forums > Testing / Bug Reports > Vd 1.6 Bug? Doesn't Open .wav File

Posted by: pkirkaas Sep 30 2004, 08:12 AM
Hi,

With VirtualDub 1.6:

I have a film I recorded from TV, with bad audio. I separated out the audio from the avi, reprocessed the audio wtih Audacity, then tried to combine them again by opening the video-only file, selective .wav audio from the Audio menu, selected the reprocessed .wav file, & tried to save. It saved the video only, without including the .wav file. All this using just direct stream copy.

I then re-installed VD 1.5.10 & repeated the procedure, and everything worked fine. So I think it is a bug introduced in VD 1.6. Or am I doing something wrong?

I encountered the same problem with version 1.6, adding a wav-file doesnt seem to work.
Works fine in 1.5.10 though.

Known regression -- please contact me by email if you want to test a build of 1.6.1 that fixes the problem.
