I am using Virtualdub 1.10.4 prerelease. I was working 6 avi files that constituted a single movie, total duration 1 hour 34 mins. I joined the 6 avi's through the function "append avi segment", then I launched a general re-encode (I had to resize the video and change the audio). Well, I obtained a movie with a duration of more than 3 hours !! The first part was what I wanted, but after the regular movie Virtualdub attached additional copies of my clips in a confused order. Please, have a look at "append avi segment": I fear it appends too much !! Regards

Opening a file as well as append have an auto-append option, was that ticked? Auto appending will add the files in strict numeric order Over three hours sounds like they were appended multiple times

OK, Dloneranger, you are right. The option "automatically load linked segments" was on, so when I opened the first file VDub loaded the full movie. I made a mistake when I loaded the second, third, .... They were already in. Thanks and regards
