| I love the latest Batch Processing functions in virtual dub. But I encounter a few issues while using it. On occassion if you are running a lot of virtual dub windows. There is an error that can occur. If a virtual dub crashes while trying to load the .jobs file, it can lock up the .jobs file so no other virtual dub can edit the file. This can cause the entire virtual dub processing array to cease functioning until that one virtual dub is cancelled. I don't know if this issue is caused by two virtual dub 'slaves' accessing the .jobs file at the same time or if it is a harddrive error. (Has been tried on diffent hdd systems). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A few functions I would love to see added to batch processing: If you are using an .avs script in the batch wizard, virtual dub does not automatically rename the output to .avi and thus will output avi files with the extension of .avi The ability to delete files from the Batch Wizard would be nice as well. A way to "add to Queue as Postponed", rather than waiting could be useful also. Is there any way to add a % finished column to the virtual dub job control list? (Even if it is just a pingable command rather than a constant update) A way to sort the job list into columns or pages, rather than one huge list. (For tons of files it is hard to scroll through) Finally a way that when a job is finished it writes to a log file for record keeping. |
