Try using the directshow plugin to load the file instead

How can I use the direct show? Is that setting the VC-1 decoder on wmv9 instead of libavcodec in ffdshow video encoder configuration? because that doesn't help.

No, there's a directshow plugin, like the wmv/etc ones http://forums.virtualdub.org/index.php?act=ST&f=7&t=12664

It took a while, but I'm back. Thank for trying to help me here. I've installed all latest plugins, including that DirectX. I'm using VirtualDub-1.9.11 32 and the 64 bit version I'm still confused how to set VirtualDub to use Directshow and not ffdshow! ? How do I know that it is set to use Directshow?

Select the file, then select DirectShow Input driver in the file type drop down list and open.

@onidarbe: If you post the video then the crash could be fixed.

You are a bit confused, it will use ffdshow in any case (it may happen by Directshow or by VFW). |
