Hi !
Today i tried to open my with a DVB-Card captured Mpeg2 videos. It worked, i renamed it to *.vob and the config window showed up, but i can't use my Audiostream, it is no Ac3-Stream but normal mpeg2-Audio. I have tested to open the Video with my Media Player and with it i have Video and Audio but VirtualdubMod simply don't accepts no Audiostreams but Ac3. Is Anyone Out there with a sollution ? To watch my Movies without Audio is only half of it's fun .....

The next release will correct some problems with audio streams for non-DVD files.
Also remember that audio streams are managed via hard disk, not via "avi audio".

Thanx for that info, i hoped that this would be fixed. But i found out another problem : If i cut the mpeg-file i get desynchs (with wave audio, for test).

What program do you use to edit the MPEG files ? And why is it WAV audio ( do you mean PCM uncompressed audio ? ) ? You cant use uncompressed PCM in MPEG container ...

I'm using Virtualdubmod, i only want to get my mpeg2-files into avi, without the use of much diskspace or time. At present i take my mpeg2 files and open them with virtualdubmod. The mpeg-audio can't be used so i have to convert it inot pcm wave and open it seperatily with virtualdubmod to put video and audio together. The problem is, that i can't take the mpeg-audio directly and that there are very much problems on cutting the file.

Demux the capture with DVD2AVI, encoded the video separately from the audio and then mux them when you're finished encoding.

Currently Im exaclty doing this, but i think that there must be a way to encode mpeg2-files directly with virtualdub to save time and space. I thought that the solution would be Virtualdubmod, but i cant use the audio-stream and cutting tje don't works correctly too so If there are any suggestions to encode with virtualdub without demuxing or seperate encoding please tell me laugh.gif
