hi,
i have a avi encoded in divx codec. the movies after some 300 frames or so the video get stuck but the audio continues ohmy.gif .thought it might be a codec problem and i re-installed the codec, but the problem continues i know there nothing wrong with the video of the file since the video is coming in another program called 'video Lan' but in that program the audio is not functioning.
PLEASE HELP !! I want to fix the file so that i can use it soon!!! please send any instructions u want me to follow.

It could be that your File is Corrupted...Well actually that is exactly what it sounds like and if you Downloaded this File off the net then I am sure that is what the problem is...You can try one of those Video Fixing Programs Like DivX-Fix or Video fixer and some other ones....I have been able to fix a couple Bad AVI files but useing a Simple little converting Program called "Stoik video Converter" and I just use it to Re-Encode my DivX or XviD AVI file to an AVI file , then use Virtual Dub to edit the New file...This Program seems to accept Files that other Programs will not ,even Corrupted files....Well I guess it is worth a Try ,You can find the Program if you use Google and do a Search....Cheers
