| Languaje: Bad English I congratulate you for their great program, but leave me that suggest you for some technical characteristics that I since began to use the version 1.4 that fact in lack: The frame-server is the better idea of VirtualDUB, floor make VCDs with the "ligos mpg encoder" but there is a problem, when the audio is compresed, either format MP3, I would like that the option "full procesing mode" in to the audio and "conversion" it works, I so won't have that reproccess the audio (I say that but people will make the same as me) You already had problems with Microsoft with the import of ASF, what you are going to give to you it is an idea in order to hands wash: It's tried to make import filters (similar to VDF) so that you or denvelopers could make that VirtualDUB supports such formats like: MOV, QT, RAM, RM, WMV, ASF, VOB, IFO, VORVIS VIDEO FORMAT, direct show compatibility, or the possibility of import audio files type MP3 or WMA I think that these 2 ideas that I have given you, will make that VirtualDUB is "almost perfect" Mainly that of the import filters, because much people need support for other formats, and it's what it threw in lack for VirtualDUB. Thank you for their attention, Greetings, ModMa P.S.: In source code of VirtualDUB not specific that "ZIP.EXE" it is a program of "INFO ZIP" in order to compress in ZIP format, I found difficult a while locate said software. |

| Thank you for such a useful program. I use it to convert MPEG-I and MPEG-II files captured by my AVerTV board to DivX. Being able to save captured video sans-commecials in DivX compressed AVIs is great. Most importantly I feel no need to get a DVD-/+R drive. I would like to see a marker at the spot where I set a selection. As a pie in the sky option, it would be nice to set markers at each scene change as defined by the option settings as an edit aid. |

| Hi, i also have two small suggestions for Virtualdub: 1. An acoustic signal when dubbing is done. I capture/filter/convert a lot stuff with virtualdub. But when i am watching tv or program something I often don't notice that dubbing is done. 2. In capture mode virtualdub overwrites existing capture files without any warning! There should be at least a "are you sure ?"-window. |

| Hi...first of all, congratulations to Avery Lee for this great program...! I have only one sigestion: There's no posibility to "Save" your own defaults......when you quick start VD and start recording with F6, the settings u done befor you closed VD are gone ! ......but for a freeware programm thats ok........!! Sometimes when i create my movies with ulead video studio 7, and make my DVD menu and i'm proud how it looks, than strating to rendering.......that sh*t stopes and close it self !!......that's cause i pay 100 euro :-)) that program hase no posibility to save, all u'd done till now....so baby, go and import all projects again and do the menu again.....with the hope, it won't stop again :-)) best wishes OmO |

| I think this should be pretty simple: I wish the "Don't run this job now; add it to job control..." checkbox in the Save AVI dialog were sticky during the lifetime of a VirtualDub instance. I regularly enqueue a number of different jobs, and having to recheck that box every time is a bit of a hassle. As far as I can tell, it doesn't make much sense for it not to be sticky; I think if one job gets added to the queue, odds are pretty good that there will be additional jobs. (At the very least, a keyboard shortcut to that widget would be a big improvement.) |

| Hello! My suggestion: audio offset feature to correct sync bugs in direct stream copy mode sounds quite easy! |

I think that should be done through a filter, like the shutdown filter. |

That functionality already exists: just use Audio -> Interleaving and change the Audio Skew Correction number as desired.. |

| While I'm here, I'll add a few of my own suggestions to this thread: It would be nice if you could store custom "profiles" for capturing. (I guess you could do it now with .reg files, but that's messy.) I'd love to have a way to store capture preferences in a file so they could be easily recalled later. I often use different settings depending on the source, so a feature like that would be handy. In addition to frames and milliseconds, I would also like to be able to specify the interleaving of audio chunks in bytes. (Please don't ask why; it's a long story.) |

| As first I like VirtualDub. I use it with my videocard to recompress recorder video into DivX. I hope this program can use multiple videolayers in future, to create new ways of adding logo's, replace subtitles or put other video in a layer. |

I'd like to see this feature too. Could we also have a "add to job control" checkbox in the "Save WAV" dialog? |
