Hi "ale" --
When I couldn't open MPEG 2's you referred me to the appropriate plugin; but now I'm having the same problem with MPEG 1 (VCD)s -- "No video frames found"; but I don't see a relevant plugin here. Help, please.

Given that fccHandlers plugins are the best plugins for virtualdub and the original page is offilne from long time, Someone should upload fccHandlers plugins & sources to sourceforge.net for the archiving and easy access. |

I am also not able to open that page and i was asking for uploding those files to sourceforge for the longterm preservation. Even if the other mirrors disappirs the sourceforge is one place where they will always be found. |

I agree Sourceforge would be best place for all of them. Not likely to disappear with many servers worldwide that that mirrors all the sourceforge data |

SubLog Extractor is a VirtualDub filter designed to extract hardcoded subtitles from a video stream
Extracting hardcoded subtitles is really a two parts job :
1) Identifying the changes in the subtitles frames, dump them into bitmaps files, and create a time index for them.
2) (optionally) Applying OCR to the resulting bitmaps to extract text data
SubLog Extractor Filter is taking care of part #1, while an external application such as SubRip can proceed the OCR from the files dumped by SubLog Extractor.
More precisely, SubLog Extractor works the following way:
A. Pre-processing
Filtering the input (optionnal).
B. Temporal Processing
Differential scanning & frame selection.
C. Post-processing (VobSub mode only)
Formating the output.

There were links in the first post that were pointing to iLivid (sites changed over the time), I have removed them but if you have downloaded it I suggest to do a virus scan.
