Thank you rolleyes.gif

Size is a problem, when I get time I want to look at moving controls onto tabs
That should make it a bit smaller

Just grabbed your filter.... WOW!!!
I love it. Need to play with it a lot more to get the best out of it.
Best bit (and I wish all the others did this too).... the half frame - sooo easy to see what difference the settings are making as you play with them.

Great work - Gold star!

More than welcome and very well deserved!!

Like you, I do a lot of cleaning up of TV shows and films and this one filter will do most of what I want to do instead of loading several to do the same job. cool.gif

One request.... Is there any chance it could remember the settings used last time it was loaded instead of all back to default? If I need to reset anything there are plenty of reset buttons to play with!!
I use the Sharpen filter a lot and that remembers my setting at 16 which seems to work best for me - load and go! lol.

tbh - i'd like to but it's purely down to having enough free time
it's a case of when i can i will :-)

here's a general workaround for default values for any filter

start virtualdub
open the filters dialog
add all your fave filters
if you have fave settings for them, set them
untick all the filters so they are turned off
(you could set your preferred video/audio compression settings now if you like)
(if you prefer to start in direct stream mode, you could set than now also)
on the files menu, save the configuration - i'll use C:\Users\Public\Documents\DefaultFilters.vcf as an example location)
close virtualdub

right click a virtualdub shortcut (make one if you don't have one)
in the target box add this at the end (replace the example location with your own)
/s "C:\Users\Public\Documents\DefaultFilters.vcf"
click ok

now, when you start virtualdub all you fave filters are preloaded, and unticked
when you open the filters box, you can just tick the ones you want, or tweak them a bit

:-) now you don't even have to find them on the list

[edit]
one small warning about: if you save the codec configuration as well
if you later, update your codec, there is a possibility that the saved data will not work in the newer codec
just remove the 2 lines in the saved config file that start with
CODE
VirtualDub.video.SetCompression
VirtualDub.video.SetCompData

reconfigure the codecs, and save the new config file over the old one

That's one way around the problem. lol.
Thanks for the info tho.

I'm about to start on Joe90 over the weekend if I can find the time between building a conservatory and cleaning my fish tank!

V0.2.3
Added
Show out of spec input levels in preview window
Fix small error in scaling

There's a checkbox in the dialog that will highlight pixels that are out of range (in the preview window only)
If the input is set as normal limited range, but is fed a full range image, the display will show these area
Mainly it's just an easy way to see if the input is actually full range and needs correction
