Hello everyone...

I've downloaded Donald Graft's logo filter at http://shelob.mordor.net/dgraft/ but I'm having some problem with the finished file.

The issue I'm haveing is creating a bitmap how he said to create it:
'Static Logo'
Create a 24-bit-depth windows bitmap file with the desired size and with
a transparent color zone if desired. The transparency color may be arbitrarily selected and then configured in the filter configuration.

I know how to create a 24-bit-depth bitmap, but not with a 'transparent color zone' I am only 6+ months PhotoShop7.0 educated.

What I do is creat a image on a blue background. Flatten and save as 24-bit-depth bitmap.

I enter this bitmap as the input file and put a check mark to enable the "Transparent Color" which is 255 blue. I modify the tolerance to get rid of any extra visible blue an it looks passable.

Is this correct?
I am worried the steps I took in PhotoShop7.0, can someone correct my steps in PhotoShop If they are incorrect?

Regards
Fess

Yes that is how I do it. But like green better biggrin.gif
AFAIK .BMP's cannot have transparency information of any sort in them.

--------------------
Use the Matroska file format
