Hey all! Before I get to the problem, here's my hardware setup:
Gigabyte GA-7VFRXP Athlon XP 1800 512 PC2700 RAM 40GM Maxtor HD Gainward GeForce4 PowerPack! Ultra/650 XP 128MB Golden Sample Windows XP Home SP1
The video card is a Ti4200 and has Video In/Video Out. I have already used the VIVO function and have captured video once already. Since then, I upgraded to the new nVidia Detonator drivers (40.72), but had serious issues when trying to capture video. Every time I got to the capture screen in VirtualDub, the computer would restart, a problem noted by Gainward on their website. They recommended reverting to an earlier driver, so now I am running 28.32. And I am able to get into the capture program.
However...
Here's my problem:
I can see the video clip in "overlay" but when I click on capture, nothing is captured. If I go to "preview", all I see is a green screen. I reinstalled the WDM drivers several times, and I'm sure they are the latest version (1.1.1 I think). I also tried to use Premiere and CapTV, and they all give me the same problem...the video is there in "overlay" but not in any other view, and nothing gets captured when in "overlay" view.
I would appreciate any suggestions or help with this! Thank you very much for your time!
Tom

It seems your problem has nothing to do with Vdub. Try looking for support at the link posted at the begining of Capture section |
