In the overall scheme of things, I suppose this is not that important, but now that I am getting better at using VDub, it is starting to bug me. In the past, I have been cropping the video when processing, but as this is caused when capturing, I thought I could eliminate it during the capture.
Basically, after capture, a vertical bar is seen on the right side of the screen, when viewed in Win Media Player (and others I use). It is several pixels wide and far enough from the edge to see video between the bar and the edge of the screen. It seems to me that the video is captured slightly to the left of the centre of the screen. I do not know how to centre the video when capturing. I was so glad to capture video without added or dropped frames that I did not want to press my luck! I would appreciate any thoughts on this.

p.s. I will post a photo as soon as I can figure out how.

The image is 640x472.
It is expected to be 640x480 or something else dividable by 16.
If I were you I would double-check all of the settings in VD ("Capture pin..."; "Capture filter...") for discrepancies.
For me it does either look like the video is "off-axis".
