I don't suppose anyone knows a way to set a specific length in VDub capture mode? Or perhaps an outside program that could work with VDub to do this. It would be nice to set a capture length for a movie, then walk away knowing the capture will stop at that time. Just a thought. |

You can use a program called VirtualDVR to automate VirtualDub for capturing. You can use it to start capturing with one click, but as well it offers the possibility to startup your system on a preselected date & time, engage capturing, add filters for your capture in realtime and automatically stop your recording once your preselected time is up.
Quite a handy tool!

I use V2CRS - http://sourceforge.net/projects/v2crs/.
To enable the use of VirtualDub filters from V2CRS, I use a combination of Windows batch files, VirtualDub command-line options and scripts, and V2CRS Pre-(and Post-) Actions.
