Audio Recording Issue, Audio playback is faster than recorded

I have a Hauppauge 1250 Capture Card and, aside from WinTV 7 not recognizing it, it works great with VirtualDub 1.9.

I capture an .avi file, but when I play it back, about 20 seconds in, the audio speeds up and we all sound like mice! I'm guessing this is some kind of setting I have wrong, but just not sure.

Not sure if this is a codec issue or not. Speaking of that, can anyone recommend a document on this site that shows me the best practices for all of my video and audio settings?
