I used to use VirtualDub 1.9.11 on an old computer running Windows XP. That computer crashed due to hardware failure and I am now using a new computer that is far faster and is running Windows 7. I am using the same version as before but now I am having problems with my audio desyncing from my video. It's really noticeable after about one hour and I cannot figure out what is wrong.
At first, I was having problems with the audio sounding really slow however it was synced to the video. I eventually changed the timing to "Sync video to audio by adjusting video timing. Since then, the audio has been perfect, however, now the audio becomes desynced over time (and I do very long recordings that I cannot repeat again).
The frame rate in the settings tab is set to 29.0000
Is there something I am missing?
Do I need to click the "Round to nearest millisecond" button? Do I need to toggle a compatibility tab? Help would be greatly appreciated. |

29.0 fps is probably not what you want -- you want 25 fps for PAL and 29.97 fps for NTSC. |
