Hello!

Hope you can help me:
I use the latest version of virtualdub, and it worked well till last week (capture).
I donīt know why, but if i now try to open the capture-dialogue , the program comes with an error 418 (is in use by other programs...).
I could not remember that I changed/installed somtheing on my computer.
I tried to re-install the wdm-capture drivers- nothing helped.
But the capturer device works-I can capture with the program that was shipped with my Geforce (Winproducer).

My configuration:
MSI KT330 Ultra-Aru Motherboard /1400 AMD Athlon /512 MB DDR Ram
MSI MS-8871GF 4 Ti-4400
Pinnacle PCTV pro card
Soundblaster Live Player 5.1

Thanks in advance
DocKurt

just close your TV-application which is for sure open and "working" behind...

indeed strange... what are you doing?? biggrin.gif

I tried to (re)produce the error message... I only get your mentioned message, if I try to open two cap-devices but that won't work as everyone knows (e.g. as I said TV-app + Vdub_capture or open vdub->capture avi and then open another vdub and -> capture avi dry.gif )

After (re)starting your system and you don't open any application, is it possible to open vdub -> capture avi?? ... ok, you won't have a clear picture to capture but it's just to see if this error occures as well...

if not, then I don't kow sad.gif because I usually would open my TV-app -> close it, open vdub -> capture avi ... and here we go

maybe after you closed your TV-app, your drivers are still in use (e.g. you'll here sound although you closed your app)...
