Hello everybody,
I hope my question is not too dumb. The situation is as follows:
I've captured a streaming movie from the internet with VirtualDub ScreenCapture under WindowsXP with OpenGL support. The source of the movie is from Lovefilm (I had to capture it because they use Silverlight and to capture the screen is the only method to get the movie).
The only way I was able to get the movie captured as smooth as it was displayed "live" while streaming on my monitor was to capture it at 60 frames per second. On my computer screen, the recording plays as well as the streamed movie.
I tried to compress the movie with XVID to be able to watch it on my TV set in a DVD player which supports XVID/DIVX. But on my TV set, the movie was very jerky.
I then realized I probably had to convert it to 25 fps since I'm using a PAL-TV-Set here in Germany. I've tried the option in VirtualDub called "Frame rate conversion" in the "Video Menu" and told the program to convert the 60 fps movie to 25 fps.
Unfortunately, the outcome was jerky as well on my TV set. And it seems that it got asynchronous as well.
Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? Is using the frame rate conversion not the right way?
Any thoughts?
Thanks, and best regards, Stefan |
