this is a [well] known problem of windowsXP and not concerning VDub...

you have to delete a reg_key and it won't happen any more or even better:

type something like that:

(open a text editor and type - copy and paste cool.gif )

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{87D62D94-71B3-4b9a-9489-5FE6850DC73E}]
"InProcServer32"=-

save it as (for example):

AVI-Key_del.reg

double click on it - press ok if prompted - reboot and all your problems shall be gone...

hi realas,

it's nice to hear that it worked for you - but because of the fact that you send me a PM no one noticed that!!

for the future...

this is a forum and everyone should profit from each other - that's why the 'P' in PM stands for 'private' if it's really of private interest and not related in here!!

regards Sill
