Is there a way to append AVI segments which have different sample rates?

You have to convert the sample rate of one of the clips.

Set Audio to Full Processing Mode, go to Audio->Compression, chose <Uncompressed> and on the right side the sample rate of the other clip.

ProfDrMorph, thank you for the advice. I converted one segment as you suggested but when I attemted to append the segments, I got an error stating that the audio streams had different block sizes, 4 vs 1. Any suggestions?

I saved both segments with the same sample rate, although one of them did not actually change. Iwas then able to append the segments. Thank you for the assistance, I'll figure this all out eventually.
