I am working with a short i made with a sound track and was not sure what to do with the sound track, should it be included in the frame export? or just remove it from the original, and then add it back after the edits?
So, do i need to try to make any special settings on the Export of the Image Sequence to preserve the marking for the sound track
Is there a reccomended re compression to use for animated work? I have no clue which compression to use,
thanks for any advice. love this program it is amazing to see it all at work on this process. I am an artist by trade a painter and am trying to make some animated flim of my works with sounds. i dont know how to figure out what the actual encoding is used on my film as i made it and then converted it to MKV as that seemed a popular format for MKV and i could use the MKV tools to work with it. I have a program by Sony to adjust the timing of the sound once all is ready.
PS the Compression DEcoder thread just under this one has some great info, i suspect some of that may apply to what I am trying to learn to set. thanks for all the great advice here...will take this a step at a time.

x264(vfw) work well for all types of footage! Between the quality options (called Ratefactor in the other thread), Presets that trade off encoding speed vs. file size, and Tuning options (film/animation/grain/still image), you can get a good result, after a bit of trial and error.
Regarding your first question, I think we need to know what you are trying to do. Why are you exporting as an image sequence? Are you planning to process the images somehow and then convert them back to video?
What type of sound track are you working on - does it have to synchronize to the video, or is it just background music? |
