Hi,

I've just downloaded a rar files. IThe name (xxxxxxx.subs.rar) suggests it contains the subtitle for a movie. And it's contains 2 files: an .idx and a .sub files.

But how can I process the files ? Ideally, I'd like to convert them to an .srt, but any explanation or solution would be really appreciated.

Many thanks
Jean-Pierre

As an Advanced Member, you should know that we don't discuss downloaded movie files. tongue.gif

Sorry, huh.gif

I didn't realize the implications, but there is nothing illegal there.

I have a TV Rip from the movie "Nazi Love Camp 27" (an old movie from 1977, in fact, it's a documentary). There is a disclaimer at the beginning of the movie:

It's in english, difficult for me to understand, and I found these french subtitles on the net. The question is: How can I include them in my avi file ?

Those subtitles are probably illegal too, as they fall at least under copyright. (they must have come from a DVD of some sort). It is impossible to decide for us if there really is such a disclaimer on the beginning of your video and if it was put there by the copyright holder. Sorry, but there are so many subtitle conversion guides on the internet (and explanation about .idx/.sub files) that I rather stay on the safe side of things.

Please do not discuss ANY movie/subtitles downloaded from where-ever here. If your files come from at least questionable origin you are better of not mentioning that.

I think that says it all.
