I just noticed that neuron2's forum appears to have been deliberately hacked. If this is some kind of joke, it's not funny.

Ouch. I just backed this forum up to my desktop through the pair control panel, since the DB is too big to pull through IPB's web interface (it's 36MB).
Donald, contact your ISP as they probably have a viable backup and may also have logs to indicate the vector of entry. You will want to make sure that your phpBB is patched and that PHP4 is at least 4.3.10 or newer before bringing the forum back online.

Ouch is right. I've asked the host to explain because when they transferred me they told me the PHPBB was all upgraded. My only backup is pretty old. I hope they have one. Anyway, with this aggravation, I'm considering just letting it stay dead. |
