I'm not sure where this post belongs since there's no forum for the forum! Just my luck it will be in some FAQ I can't seem to find, but taking a risk, so here's the thing:
I resized a picture to the 64x64 (boy today seems to be all about that number 64! was bits earlier) for avatar limitations, then tried uploading it in avatar options here, several times in fact because it kept showing a broken image. Can anyone else see it? Is it a cache issue, need to log out & back in or something? I'll try that next...
it's a JPG as allowed, just a pic I shrunk to fit the dimensions (though most other places do auto-shrink of the image, same I use elsewhere but here had to resize it because 1st error I got was "that format not allowed"--it's a simple JPG?!), which will probably make me look all squashed & need to redo it since I just chose 64x64 because it was max allowed. Sigh...I'm just not up to par today, can't I have a problem that doesn't involve the number 64 today? Man.

Ok, I went & resized it 48wx64h, reuploaded & it still won't show the JPG avatar image & shows a broken image instead--does the file need to be online? It says I can upload a pic, but maybe it lies? LOL
I closed out all programs, relogged in, nothing makes it work. A forum bug or what?

I've also got this problem.... 64x64 avatar not showing at all.
I use another forum and I found out their max was 49x49 so I shrunk my usual avatar into a 49x49 one and that works on the other forum.
Tried the same 49x49 JPG file on here and it doesn't work.

As you can see, the problem did not resolve, so I was forced to choose one of these basic ones, which don't include any COOL avatars or big enough choice for individuality.
I can see you have the same broken image avatar problem I had. I'm surprised none of the regulars here have answered this question, since I'm sure we aren't the only 2 who have ever had this problem. Let me know if you ever find out the fix.
