Hi everyone!
I started to use Virtualdub to split the +700Mb Movies in two in order to put them on two VCD discs. Last week I got two DivX movies that could not be split. Details of one of them: Video: 640x352, 23.976 f/s, 96544 frames (1:07:06) Decompressor: DivX 5.0.2 codec, 952 key frames, etc., etc. Audio: MPEG Layer-3 129 kbits/s, 48 KHz Stereo, 96 samples preload skew, 167587 frames.
Setting VirtualDub (build 1.4.11) to direct audio and video stream copy. When one of these movies is loaded, the following message appears in VirtualDub: "..... Improper VBR audio encoding in source detected and will rewrite the audio header with standard CBR values during processing for better compatiblility. This may introduce up to 732184 ms of skew from the video stream. If this is unacceptable, decompress the *entire* audio stream to an uncompressed WAV file and recompress with a constant bitrate encoder. [bitrate: 428.2 +/- 56354.6 kbps]."
a. If I start the dubbing, after some 1-2 minutes and some 50-150 MB file writing, an errormessage pops up and informs me that audio samples[NNNNN-MMMMM] (range of two numbers is displayed in the brackets) could not be read in the source. The file may be corrupted. What could be the problem and what may be a solution?
b. If I follow the advise of the first message, a.o.w., save the audio stream to an uncompressed WAV file, I also get a similar error message as in a.
Anyone having some ideas what I'm missing here?? (TWO corrupt files may be?) |

Blootak is right, I think, You have got vbr audio, that only works with NanDub. But you will get problems, when you try to burn VCDs from your DivX Movies, cause VCDs are coded with MPEG1...
