I am getting an error when trying to open an .mpg file, that is an mpeg-ts format. Mpeg-ps opens without an issue. It is also interesting that the file begins to open (the pop up window showing progress opens) but the "No Video Stream!" error window opens before completion.
I was able to open this file a few months ago, but since then had some issues with VirtualDub and a filter and started from scratch with VirtualDub and plugins/codecs/etc.
In my plugins32 folder I have FFInputDriver.vdplugin, MPEG2.vdpugin, NVeilerVideoFildter.vdf, and a subfolder ffdlls with avcodec-55.dll, avformat-55.dll, avutil-52.dll, and swscale-2.dll.
Thanks |

While in the "Open video file" dialogbox of VirtualDub, first select the videofile, then - at Files of type - select "FFMpeg Support Files", and finally click "Open".
If this does not work, then try by adding the "DirectShow input driver" plugin for VirtualDub > http://forums.virtualdub.org/index.php?act...=ST&f=7&t=15093 and after that, while in the "Open video file" dialogbox - at Files of type - select "Direct Show inputdriver". |

What does work ? The solution with "Files of type" = "FFMPeg Supported Files" or the one with "DirectShow input driver" ?
If you do not select a particular 'Files of type', then VirtualDub will select one for itself (and so, maybe the wrong one). I do not know how this system exactly works. So if you are willing to be absolute sure, then you should better select it by yourself ! |

Selecting FFMpeg supported files is the first one I tried, and it worked.
Thanks |
