When using Virtual Dub to lighten a clip I get this message "Unable to start Filters. Cannot process Its Input 624x352(null). What does that mean and can I change it, I have several clips like this.

Thank you
Bob

What filter were you using
Was that the only filter
What version of virtualdub
Can you provide the file information from virtualdub

Is that the exact message?

The last bit (null) should be the image format eg RGB24, YUV420
In the filter list, tick the 'show image formats' so you can see what formats it's getting
There really shouldn't be a way to get 'null' as the image should be converted to whatever the filter supports automatically
You could try forcing it by adding a 'convert format' filter beforehand and setting it to rgb or yv12 and see if that works
You could also try some other filters to see if the message goes away, there's a lot but I'll plug my own here as I know what it's error messages should be! In my sig, it's called MultiAdjust

--------------------
MultiAdjust JoinWav WavNormalize FFMPeg Input Plugin v1827 UnSharpMask
Windows7/8 Codec Chooser
All FccHandlers Stuff inc. Installers for acm codecs AAC, AC3, LameMp3
