The Space key starts and stops input playback, and the Enter key starts output playback. Guess what key stops output playback. Yup, it's Space. Please make the Enter key stop output playback for better symmetry with input playback. Thanks!

No. There's just File.PreviewInput (Space) and File.PreviewOutput (Enter).

I don't know the exact mechanism by which Space stops playback, whether it's hard-coded to do so, or if File.PreviewInput has the side effect of stopping if currently in dub mode, or if its standard Windows function of "activate the currently selected button" is kicking in.

just check and Enter is a bound commands maybe unable to be changed. Your initial bug is correct and doesn't do as would expect it to do.

I tried playing an xvid video the source plays and stop using Space Bar. While if use Enter and nothing happens though I see the virtualdub header (grab) bar has (dub in progress). Press Enter again and doesn't go away not until I press Space Bar, it does seem to be a bug maybe phaeron has a solution to fix this

Not a bug, just that Enter wasn't ever bound to preview stop like Space was. Don't see any reason not to, so I'll just add it to the accelerator table.

I haven't figured out how to playback only output as yet a setting I need to find. Though when do can see a benefit of using it having a stop will help I'm sure Andy will appreciate it being added so has control. Meanwhile will look at help guide how to enable it so it can play
