Resizing Preview Windows While Playing

resizing preview windows while playing doesnt work perfectly in new versions of virtualdub,
i mean that the movie get resized, but all around i see an old bigger frame,


that didnt happened with older versions, happens with the older i have here,1.4b,
unless this depends from my new computer, a standard win-me installation(old was w98-1) of june 2002, but seems to me that began to happens with my old pc too.
