Just found these :-) Using v1.5.10.1 build 2366.
First, in the 'Stream List' dialog, you can double-click on a stream to enable/disable it, but this does not update the text in the 'Enable'/'Disable' button.
Secondly, I loaded a clip for which it turned out I did not have a VFW decompressor installed. VDM (correctly) disabled all video output options except for 'Direct Stream Copy', and turned off both input and output video displays. I then loaded a different clip, which could be handled, and discovered that 'Direct Stream Copy' was still the only available option; the other three had not been re-enabled. Closing and restarting VDM solved the problem. The video displays were still turned off, but the menu items to re-enable them were still Ok.
