Hi, another newbie in here

I installed VirtualDubMod from VirtualDubMod_1_5_10_1_All_inclusive.zip and I even rebooted my computer
When I double click on VirtualDubMod.exe icon, I got an error dialog box saying "Visual C++ RunTime Error", a White on Red cross at the left, the path and name of the exe and just under "abnormal program termination" that's all
I didn't configure anything.

I Have :
AMD Athlon 1200, 120G 7200 rpm HDD, 512 MB Ram, Windows 2000 pro (SP4)

In my system, VirtualDubMod crashes when AviSynth2.5 is installed, not when I use AviSynth2.0.

I searched the forum for same error, but even when reinstalling VdubMod after AviSynth2.5, it crashes again.

May anyone confirm or write the way I should install these tools ?

Thx

Arthur.

Empty AviSynth plugin dir, and try again.

Thx a lot Wilbert, it was exactly that !
I put down there a plugin which caused VDubMod to crash : in my case, it was the content of "mergeclips_25_dll_20031117.zip"
I put all others I found on the site for Avisynth 2.5 version, it works well !

Thx again !
SYL !

Regards,
Arthur.

I Received the same C++ runtime library error when opening Virtualdubmod 1.5.4.1, as well as version 1.5.10.0, in my case it was the avstimer.dll.

After removing it from the plugins folder Virtualdubmod opened fine.

I also would like to know the most proper way (order of and which directories) to install the various programs that Virtualdub and Virtualdubmod interact with.
