I think this would be a real easy feature to add.. if I had VC++ I'd probably do it myself. I'm dealing with some pretty high quantity of video with commercials, and I'd like to be able to advance to the frame exactly one minute in front of the one I'm at.. so rather than advancing 50 frames, I want to advance about 1800 frames at a time.

I think a nice feature would be to allow people to enter the number of frames they'd like to go forward or backward.. or maybe the feature is already there, and I just haven't found it yet.

Thanks for you Time.

You mean like adding a 'jump to frame# xxx' box ?

You could always use "Go to" in the edit menu (or just hit Ctrl-G) or the "Back/forward 50 frames" in that same menu...

By changing the scene detection settings, I was able to find the black-out before and after commercial breaks without detecting every scene cut. It works pretty well, but you still have to wait as VDub plays the video until it gets to the scene change. It takes almost as much time to detect the scenes as CTRL-G... Anyway, it works well enough.
