1) Can you please add a way for an input plugin to query VirtualDub and ask a value of the options "Prefer internal video decoders" and "Prefer internal audio decoders"?
Can you please add a way for an input plugin to query VirtualDub and ask the list of video fourcc/audio tags that the internal decoders included in VirtualDub can decode?
So the input plugins can honor the options if they want.

2) Can you please add a way for an input plugin to query VirtualDub with the number of the audio track as parameter and ask how the audio is decompressed/played (after the file is opened)?
Maybe there can be four possible return values:
0 => Get already uncompressed audio (because the input plugin has already decompressed it or because it is PCM audio)
1 => Used an internal decoder
2 => Used an ACM codec
3 => Missing codec

So the File => File information of input plugins can be more informative.
Currently for example it say missing codec for MP2 audio in MKV files but the audio play fine and this is confusing.

2b) In case the return value of previous query is 2 (Used an ACM codec), then the input plugin should be able to ask to VirtualDub the name of the ACM Codec used.
