Hi there,
I'm currently following an intership in the domain of GPU parallelization (performance, bottlenecks,...) and after searching this forum, i've found that there's no updates about OpenCL since 2009 :
http://forums.virtualdub.org/index.php?act...17963&hl=opencl
However, the news on the site says Vdub can support 3D hardware acceleration (see http://virtualdub.org/blog/pivot/entry.php...hp?id=263#body).
How Vdub handles something like OpenCL today ? how great is the integration with GPGPU (plugins...) ?
Thanks you in advance for the responses ! |

VirtualDub does not use OpenCL, CUDA, or the direct GPGPU languages. It has some basic support for using traditional immediate-mode rendering for some image processing operations through the Direct3D 9.0c API -- called VDXA in the program -- but only a few built-in filters use this. |
