After searching the forums I was surprised nobody had requested this. Maybe a lot of people weren't aware of it, as I only discovered it not too long ago myself. But I find it's invaluable for cutting out commercials and quickly adding the trims to my script. (In Vdubmod > Tools > scripts editor > import frameset as trims)
Another feature I wouldn't mind seeing added is the "Snapshot source frame/output frame", too.

Didn't use it a lot, just easier than setting in/out points around one frame, etc., or copying to clipboard then pasting in another app.
But with the scripts editor alone I could ditch Vdmod altogether. Thanks. |

Sorry, but I'm afraid I don't have an interest in turning VirtualDub into a script editor for Avisynth.
As for the snapshot source/output frame function... details? Haven't used it myself. |

The snapshot just gives you a direct save dialog, the snapshot output is highlighted in the screenshot in the previous post, or you can snapshot the source frame. Here's the dialog box.

As for the scripts editor, as I said I haven't used it that long, but have found it pretty useful. I prefer x264 for most of my backups, which means using megui as the vfw x264 is a pain, or was last time I tried it. It's just handy for making cuts then adding them to the script, which I can then use with whatever encoder I need to, like TMPGenc or megui, etc.

Megui has an AVS cutter, too, but like the rest of the program it has horrible performance. Whereas with Vdubmod it's snip, snip, snip and I'm off. I can still use both programs so no biggie, it's just the only thing keeping me using Vdubmod. |
