Would it be possible to map the 'Capture AVI' File menu choice to a shortcut key?
The reason is I'm using VirtualDVR to automate my captures and it works by sending key-presses. It sends Alt-F to bring up the File menu but some times it fails and brings up the Filter dialog instead Ctrl-F  which results in nothing being recorded 
I wish I could compile VDub

Shameless plug: In vdubmod you can assign nearly any shortcut key to every menu item.
