I know "time left (estimated)" is "just" equal to "Total time (estimated) - Time elapsed", but it would still be nicer to have it officially displayed (as it's as or even more important than the others). What do you say? biggrin.gif

Having VD do the math (subtract "Total" minus "Elapsed") & display it (as "Remaining") would save us users from having to do the math in our heads.

That's what computers are for tongue.gif

...Do you like to see "10 minutes remaining" message for an hour or two?...

I would certainly prefer to see updated total estimation.

I would certainly prefer to see updated total estimation.

I don't see what's wrong with showing all 3 (instead of just 2 of them):

1) Total Time Expected
2) Elapsed Time So Far
3) Expected Time Remaining

Of course (1) and (3) above are just estimated *duh*
But why not show the third one as well? It is easy enough to calculate on a computer; the code for subtracting two numbers is not that difficult to write...

This is something that has bugged me about VDub for years. "Total time (estimated)" and "Time elapsed" are, technically speaking, pretty useless as information. Only "Time remaining (estimated)" will tell you if you can go and make another cup of tea smile.gif

Wait, that's even better!

CODE
Cups of tea remaining: 4
