Hello.
I have virtualdub 1.10.5 32bit, on my Windows 7 X64 machine and I use it to convert fraps files to avis.
I use H264 codec for video and Lame MP3 for Windows for Audio.
Everything works fine.
Now the trouble started when I enlisted my Windows 8.1 X64 machine to do the same job.
I copied the whole virtualdub folder, installed H264 codec through its installation program and the same for Lame MP3.
Unfortunately, I do not get any options in the audio compression setting as illustrated by the picture below.
What am I missing my good friends? |

Well, you're missing the Lame codec completely - that could be the problem 
It should be listed as Lame MP3
Lame MP3 works fine in Win8.1, but from Vista onwards any of the .bat installers have to be run as an administrator (right click on the .bat and run as administrator)
This has been such a headache for people that I put all the files in an installer that will install 64 and 32bit versions as required
