Filter Organizer, Virtual Dub Improvement proposal

I have a lot of filters in my VirtualDub/plugins directory. Most of them are not often used but sometimes are handy. Moving them back and forth onto some other directory takes time and is not very helpful either.

So I propose a (simple) solution. Implement a "favourite filters" dialog. It could display only the filters marked by user as "favourite". I believe that it could be in a form of a checkbox in "add filters" screen. When user marks this checkbox as checked only the "favourite" filters would appear, if not - all available filters.
Information on "favourite" filters could be stored in a text file in VirtualDub/plugins directory in the form of filters filenames.

What do You think about it?

Simple solution. Remember the name of your filters, and when you want to use, say, "smart smoother", press s on your keyboard and voila you're automatically taken to the list of filters starting with "s". If you type "mart" after that (don't wait too long or you'll be taken to filters starting with "m"), your list will even be more specific. Also works in explorer, open & save dialogs, and other listboxes. Even saves you the hassle of maintaining favorites in the first place happy.gif.

Nice trick smile.gif. It is very helpful, although one still needs to remember the name of the filter (what was it? smoother unsure.gif , smart smoother blink.gif, dumb smoother wacko.gif ?). I still think that having the "favourite" list would be a very nice addition to Your solution.

Of course this is my humble oppinion.
