Is there any way to improve the sound quality in virtual dub, (get rid of noise and static)?

Hi shwagman

VD has no audio filters. Why? Perhaps because there are lots of good audio tools available...

But you can extract the audio as WAV file and polish this file with audio tools. Then you can use VD again to combine the new WAV file with your video.

A audio tool under GPL licence is Audacity. Audacity as a noise removal effect (filter) too.
