Just using a simple script
#ASYNTHER DirectShowSource DirectShowSource("C:\DVD\test.mkv")
I get a grey screen in vdub, any suggestions? |

Does the .avs play in windows media player?
Or Are you just trying to load a .mkv into virtualdub? If so, you can use the ffmpeg plugin to load most videos (without codec packs etc) (links in my sig)
---- To use Put FFInputDriver.vdplugin and the ffdlls folder into virtualdubs plugins32 folder On the open video dialog, pick your video and then change the 'files of type' to ffmpeg.....
